About Maddy and Mia
The family poodle has a litter of puppies, and Maddy’s parents say that she can choose one for her very own. Maddy instantly falls in love with the runt of the litter, who was born with only three legs. Little Mia becomes Maddy’s constant companion. When Finn and his family move in across the street, he joins Maddy and Mia on many of their adventures. Together, they learn the value of courage, acceptance, and friendship.

"It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful and beloved Mia. Our family is devastated and heartbroken. Our greatest consolation is knowing Mia lives on in her inspirational books and in the loving memories of all the people she met at our personal appearances.
Our family was blessed to have Mia in our lives for thirteen amazing years and we are grateful to everyone who supported her. I know Mia would want me to be strong & carry on, which is exactly how she lived her life.
